About Me!

Hello, and welcome to my e-portfolio! My name is Marisa Silverman and I’m a freshman history major in Media Scholars. I graduated from Wootton High School in May 2020, where I was an editor for the newspaper. I also participated in theatre, where I was the marketing and social media director my senior year, and BBYO, where I (among other things) was my chapter’s recording secretary. All of these experiences led me to the Media Scholars program. My dream is to hopefully, one day work in a museum, and so I hope Media Scholars will help teach me how best to grab people’s attention and communicate with them the history stories I love so much. My goal for my university experience as a whole is so I can keep learning those stories so I can one day share them with others. I believe that the future relies on knowledge of the past, so we can grow as a society and species and I want to help share that knowledge with as many people as possible.
